About me

I believe that behind everything you can see, every person carries a story worth listening to.

A white daisy seen from below, against a clear sky

I am Alina Telea, a psychologist, and I see psychotherapy as a space where you do not have to prove anything, to be „fine” or to have all the answers. A space where you can put down, for a while, and look at what you have carried alone for too long.

Sometimes we come to therapy because it hurts. Other times because we have lost our direction, because we keep repeating the same stories, because relationships wound us, because anxiety makes too much noise, or simply because the life we are living no longer looks like the person we once were.

In the office, I am not trying to change you.
I am trying to help you meet yourself.

  • With the feelings you learned to hide.
  • With the needs you always put last.
  • With the boundaries you have not yet found the words for.
  • With the vulnerability that is not weakness, but one of the most genuine forms of courage.

I believe in a therapeutic process built with patience, respect and honesty. In a relationship with room for silences, for questions, for tears and smiles, and for the moments when things slowly begin to make sense.

Perhaps healing does not mean becoming people without wounds.
Perhaps it means learning to stop building our lives around them.

How I work

I listen first

The first meeting is yours. I do not arrive with a protocol, I arrive with questions. A diagnosis, if one is needed, comes after I have understood you.

I measure where it helps

I use validated instruments in clinical assessments. Numbers do not replace the story, but sometimes they make it clearer.

I say it plainly

I tell you what I see and what I suggest, in words you understand. And I tell you when I am not the right person, and who would be.

The first step is a message.

Tell me in two lines what brings you here. I reply personally and we arrange the first meeting together, at the office or online.
